Former Douglas Man Dies in

Colorado

Douglas Enterprise - December 11, 1934

L.Ross Broderick, 39, a former resident of Douglas, died at Fitzsimons Hospital in Denver yesterday of a stroke.

Broderick was a veteran of the United States Navy. He enlisted in the navy in 1912, and served at Vera Cruz. In 1917 he reenlisted, and served for the duration of the year on a British munition ship.

After the war he came to Douglas and worked for a time at the Peyton-Bolln grocery store, and had many friends in Converse County when he went to Colorado for his health.

He was in the hospital for examination when he died. He is survived by his wife and brother and sister.
