Bourret, Isla (Kremer) (July 30, 1933 - October 23, 2008)
Douglas Budget - November 12, 2008Memorial services for Isla Bourret, 75, were held recently at Glenrock Middle School with the Rev. Rick Bishop officiating.
Mrs. Bourret died Oct. 23, 2008, at her home in Glenrock after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born July 30, 1933, in Cheyenne to Ray and Ellen Kremer. She attended school in Cheyenne and graduated from Antelope Valley High School in Lancaster, Calif., in 1951.
She married John Heimann on March 21, 1953, in Palmdale, Calif. Five children were born to this marriage and they were later divorced.
She married Bill Bourret on July 3, 1975, in Gillette. She had an upholstery business for more than 30 years in Gillette. She and her husband owned and managed the Fireside Grill in Glenrock at various times. She had served as treasurer for the town of Glenrock as well as serving on the town council and as mayor.
Mrs. Bourret is survived by her husband; sons Len Heimann of Gillette, John Heimann of Wright and Bob Heimann of Douglas; daughters Joyce West of Wright, Peggy Adams of Moorcroft and Diane Payne of Casper; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother Don Kremer of Cheyenne; and sister Elma Donahue of Boulder City, Nev.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Darold Kremer; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.
The family requests memorials go to the Glenrock Senior Center or Central Wyoming Hospice.
Newcomer Family Funeral Home of Casper was in charge of arrangements.
