Thomas Case Funeral Wednesday
Unknown - December 14, 1950Funeral services were held yesterday morning at Stark's chapel for Thos. G. Case, 78, who apparently died from a heart attack on Dec. 3 in his house in Brownfield addition. Rev. Louis Gale officiated.
When Mr. Case did not put in his appearance for several days, his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Wulff, thought he had gone to Orpha to visit his son Raymond. On checking with the son, they learned he had not been visiting there, so Mr. Wulff and Sheriff Lass broke into the house and found his body slumped on the kitchen floor. He had apparently suffered a heart attack and fell from his chair to the floor.
Thomas G. Case was born Oct. 5, 1872, in Paige County, Ia. In 1896 he was united in marriage with Maude L. Culver, who preceded him in death in 1931. Mr. and Mrs. Case came to Wyoming 33 years ago, homesteading on Lightning Creek. in 1924 they moved to Douglas where Mr. Case resided until his death. He was a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors are a son, Raymond of Orpha; a daughter, Mrs. Herman Wulff of Douglas; a brother, Arthur of Red Oak, Ia., and four grandchildren.
Burial was in the family plot beside his wife in Douglas Park cemetery.
