Unknown - September 10, 1953Funeral services were conducted yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon from the Methodist church for Edwin Orlis Carlon, 55, who died Saturday.
The services were conducted by Rev. Kenneth Moore with graveside services at Douglas Park cemetery by Douglas Lode No. 15, I.O.O.F.
Carlon had been in apparent good health until his death and had attended the Wyoming State Fair on Friday.
He was born November 29, 189 at Tekamah, Burt County, Neb. He came with his father to Marshall, Wyo., in the spring of 1920 and on November 3, 1920, was married to Miss Mattie M. Jackson. in Douglas.
To this union were born four daughters and two sons.
He was a member of Douglas Odd Fellows and the Beaver Farm Bureau.
He had lived on carious ranches in the county and for the past year and a half had made his home three and one-half miles west of Douglas.
Surviving are his wife, Mattie; four daughters, Mrs. Willa Metcalf of Rawlins, Mrs. Elizabeth Peterson of Boxelder; Mrs. Iona Stinson of Casper and Miss Katherine at home; a son, Thomas E. Carlon of Worland; nine grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Hiserote of Seattle, Wash.; two half-sisters, Mrs. Erna Ronelbacher of Napa, Calif., and Mrs. Bernice Buxon of San Francisco, Calif., and a half-brother, David.
