Lem Carmin passed away at his home in San Antonio, Texas on June 6, 1972 at the age of 84.

Lem was born in Matthew, Indiana on September 3, 1888 and migrated to Wyoming as a young man in 1906 where he worked as a cowboy for several "old time cattleman" until he homesteaded near Orin, Wyoming.

Always interested in rodeo, he built up one of the finest strings of rodeo stock in this section of the country and became one of the most famous rodeo producers in the West.

Lem moved to San Antonio in 1950 after being quite badly crippled by a brahma bull. He made his home there until his death.
