FUNERAL SERVICES FOR
MRS. MARY ELLEN CADY CONDUCTED IN DOUGLAS
Douglas Enterprise - February 21, 1933Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2:30 from the Congregational church, for Mrs. Mary Ellen Cady, wife of Harry E. Cady, who died Wednesday at her home in Careyhurst, with Rev. Clayton Judy officiating. She was 62 years of age.
Mary Ellen Cady was born at Barry, Pike county, Ill., April 22, 1870.
When a young woman she moved to Kansas, where she was married to Harry E. Cady, Feb. 12, 1897. From Kansas they moved to Nebraska, and in 1915 came to Wyoming and settled on a homestead near Shawnee.
When a girl Mrs. Cady united with the Christian church and has lived an upright and Christian life. She transferred her membership to the Methodist Episcopal church of Parker, Kansas, and retained her membership there until her death.
Mrs. Cady is survived by her husband, four children, Mrs. Beulah Spaulding of Glendo, Floyd A. Cady of Careyhurst, Mrs. Lyola Dooley of Columbine and Curtis Cady of Shawnee; two brothers, Robert Funk of Peoria, Ill., and Abe Funk of Hannabal, Mo., nine grandchildren; Mrs. Anna Manning, a niece of Bridgeport, Conn., and a niece of Bridgeport, Conn., Helen and Oscar Funk.
Pallbearers were the two sons, the sons-in-law, Orville Spaulding and Roy Dooley, Roy Marburger and Linn Cram.
Interment was in the Douglas cemetery with Hofmann Mortuary in charge.
