MASON I. CHAPIN DIES AT

RIVERTON

A former Douglas resident, Mason I. Chapin, 66, was laid to rest Thursday afternoon at Riverton, where he passed away last Tuesday morning.

Chapin had been in ill health for several months. He was a Douglas resident prior to the first World War and did much surveying in this vicinity including work on the LaPrele dam project.

He was married here to Donna Cook, daughter of Tom S. Cook. She preceded him in death. Surviving are two children, Thomas and Marguerite; his second wife and three step-daughters; one brother, Guy and a sister, Harriett and four grandchildren.

Miss Florence Cook attended the services.
