Douglas Budget - May 22, 1980Funeral services for Mayme Jarchow Clough, 94, of Douglas were held on May 17 at the Christ Episcopal Church with Father James Wolikiel officiating. Interment was in Douglas Park Cemetery.
She died on May 14 at the Shepard of the Valley Care Center in Casper.
Mrs. Clough was born September 16, 1885 at Ida Grove, Iowa to William and Mary Jarchow. She moved to Buffalo, Casper and then in 1888 moved to Douglas. She graduated in the first class from Converse County High School in 1902 along with classmates Elizabeth Willox Bolln, Josephine Jarchow Adams and Stella Smith Stone.
She was married to Albert A. Clough in 1904 in Douglas and together they operated the DOUGLAS ENTERPRISE newspaper from 1915 until his death in 1936.
She was a member of the Douglas PEO Chapter N and the Christ Episcopal Church.
Survivors include two sons, Albert A. Clough of Douglas and Fred A. Clough of Boulder, Colorado, in addition to four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband.
Pallbearers were Cecil Coe, Bob Macy, Otto Bolln, Charles George, Bill Gentle and Bill Reece.
