Douglas Budget - October 2, 1969Mrs. Bertha Clark, 89, long-time Douglas resident died Monday evening, September 29, at Casper Hospital after a long illness.
She was born March 12, 1880 in Warren, Pa. and was raised in Pennsylvania. She moved to Denver in 1909, where she married Charles E. Clark on Aug. 21, 1909.
They moved to Douglas immediately following their marriage. Mr. Clark was in the plumbing and heating business here until his death Nov. 28, 1961.
Bertha was very active in the Methodist Church in Douglas and later in the Congregational Church. She was a past matron of Woodbine Chapter No. 18, Order of the Eastern Star, and served for many years as secretary of Woodbine.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Tim Mullen of Casper; a son, Charles F. , Harbor City, Calif.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services are set for Thursday, October 2, at 2 p.m. at Stark's Chapel. Burial will be in Douglas Park Cemetery with Woodbine Chapter No. 18, OES, participating in the services.
