Douglas Budget - January 27, 1972Funeral services were held Monday, January 17 at 1:30 p.m. at Glendo Community Church for Mrs. Annie Christiansen, 83, who died Thursday at the Platte County Memorial Hospital, Wheatland. The Rev. Henry Hartberg of Wheatland officiated. Pallbearers were Clark Fritz, Lewis Archie, Ralph McLeod, Grover Thompson, John Daly and Richard L. Peterson of Douglas. Burial was at Douglas Park Cemetery.
Annie L. Coffee was born at Jane, Mo., July 20, 1888, daughter of Milo and Harriet Coffee. In 1901 she moved with her family to Esterbrook, Wyoming. She was married in 1906 to Hans Christiansen, a native of Denmark. They lived in Douglas and Esterbrook until 1908 when they moved to their homestead on Horseshoe Creek west of Glendo. In 1955 they moved to Wheatland. Mr. Christiansen died Feb. 10, 1957.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Clayton (Clarissa) Russell and a grandson, Eugene Russell, both of Glendo, also several nieces and nephews.
