Unknown - 1972Services for William A. Cole, 54, former Casper lawyer, were held June 12 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Big Rapids, Mich.
Cole left Casper in 1966 to teach law and accounting at Ferris State College in Big Rapids. He died suddenly June 9 in his home.
He graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting, and received a law degree in 1953. In Casper he carried on a general law practice and specialized in tax matters.
He was also a cadet at the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis and served as a Navy lieutenant during World War II.
Cole was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Douglas and the Elks Lodge in Big Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; three sons, William A. III of Laramie, John of Big Rapids and James of Laramie; three daughters, Mrs. Phillip Howrey, state of Washington; Leslie and Ann of Big Rapids, and his mother, Mrs. Mae Cole, also of Big Rapids.
Burial was in Highland View Cemetery at Big Rapids.
