Douglas Budget - August, 1968Funeral services for Will Curtin, 87, were held Monday, August 19, at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Fr. McBrien officiating. Burial was in Douglas Park Cemetery.
Rosary services were held Sunday evening, August 18, at Stark Chapel.
William Emmett Curtin was born in Patterson, N.J. Oct. 6, 1880 and had lived in Douglas for 51 years. A retired rancher, he was a member of the Modern Woodsmen and St. James Catholic Church.
He and his wife celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary June 27.
Besides his wife Caroline, Mr. Curtin is survived by four sons, Thomas, Peter, Paul, all of Douglas, Francis (Diddy) of Thermopolis; three daughters, Eva Mullenix, Long Beach, Calif., Avis Smith, Thermopolis and Margaret Mills, New Paris, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were his sons and sons-in-law.
