Douglas Budget - January 16, 1969Funeral services for Ethel May Crummer were held January 6 at Stark's Chapel with John Snogren as officiating minister. Interment was in Douglas Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Crummer died late Jan. 2 as the result of injuries suffered in an accident contributed to icy roads as she left the Big Wheel Restaurant where she was employed.
Ethel May Lovitt was born June 10, 1911 in Cherry County, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Henry Crummer in 1951, and her parents, Burdette Leon Lovitt in 1951 and Myrtle Townsend Lovitt in 1960.
Surviving relatives include one son, Larry C. Crummer of Douglas; a daughter, Mrs. Leona Crain, Encampment, Wyoming; two granddaughters and one grandson, all of Douglas; four brothers, Leon Lovitt, Douglas; Oscar Lovitt, Medical Lake, Wash., Wynn Lovitt, Goleta, California, Lee Lovitt, Parma, Idaho and one sister, Edith Thomas, Ontario, Oregon.
Pallbearers were members of the Douglas Jaycees-Charles Widick, George C. Smith, Ernest Worrell, Richard Wirch, Dale R. Gerry, and Tony Santistevan. Honorary pallbearers were Robert C. Smiith, Verle Hixenbaugh, Charles Stewart, Vern McNare.
