Cunningham, Florence (Kempher) (May 5, 1871 - November 18, 1923)
Douglas Budget - November 29, 1923Florence E. Kempher was born near Xenia, O., May 5, 1871. She moved at the age of 12 with her parents to Illinois, soon after uniting with the church. She was married to William F. Cunningham on December 12, 1895. To this union six children were born, all of whom are living, Irene, Lysell, Edwin, Doris, Jesse and Frances. The family moved to Wyoming in 1917, locating at Lusk, moving to Douglas June, 1923. Her death occurred Sunday, November 18, at 2:30 a.m.
Besides her husband and children she is survived by her aged mother, five sisters and two brothers. Those who came from out of town to attend the service were Mrs. C.E. Grisby and G.E. Kempher of Bladinsville, Ill., sister and brother; Mrs. Elizabeth Hibbard of Wauseon, O.; sister; Mrs. R.B. Mann of Akron, O., and J. L. Cunningham of Valentine, Neb., sister and brother of Mr. Cunningham; Mrs. Ira Kelley and Mrs. Jeff Johnson of Casper and Ralph Maginnis of Lance Creek.
Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday, November 21 under the auspices of the Royal Neighbors, Rev. R. M. Jones conducting the services. There was special music by the Royal Neighbors quartet, composed of Mesdames, A.E. Hyde, Frank Hay, L.L. Patterson and E.V. Gregory, duets by Mrs. W. J. Morsch and Mrs. John Slonaker, and a solo by C.C. Browning. Burial was in Douglas cemetery.
