Cunningham, Cora Eliza (Shinn) (October 4, 1875 - May 6, 1951)

Mrs. Cora Cunningham, 75, a resident of Converse county since 1930, died Sunday at Converse county Memorial hospital after a lingering illness.

Cora Eliza Shinn was born on Oct. 4, 1875, in Clark county, Ia. Her mother died at birth and she was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Caney of Oseola, Ia. She was married to Leonard Huffman Mar. 5, 1894, at Presno, S.D. Here she was a member of the Daughters of Zion Circle, a national religious organization, and state president of the South Dakota chapter. Mr. Huffman died in 1907. She was united in marriage to Dr. Geo. F. Pugh who met death by accidental drowning in 1925.

She came to Wyoming in 1930 to make her home with a sister, Mrs. William Mann. Her marriage to W.F. Cunningham of Shawnee took place in 1934. They moved to Douglas in 1949.

Surviving are her husband; two step sons, Lyle of Shawnee and Francis of San Francisco; three step daughters, Irene McGuire and Jessie Roush of Douglas and Doris Brose of South Hollywood, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Huckaby of Chicago and Mrs. W.P. Mann of Silverton, Ore.; a niece, Mrs. Harry Crawford of Douglas, and a foster niece, Mrs. Roxie Rafensperger of White River, Colo.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday from the Stark funeral chapel by Mrs. H.F. Carter.
