Double funeral services for Charles Eric (Ricky) Johnson and James Ronald Clark, both 22 years old, were held Wednesday, August 19, at the First Methodist Church in Douglas with the Rev. Dan Clark officiating. Burial was in Douglas Park Cemetery.

The young men both veterans of the Vietnam War, were killed Sunday night when the car which they were riding went out of control on a hill near the Lloyd Nunn ranch south of Douglas. Both were thrown from the car and apparently killed instantly. The car went into a deep canyon and was demolished.

Born in Wyoming October 4, 1947, young Johnson was the son of Marcia Hauf Johnson and the late Pete Johnson. He is survived by his mother; two brothers, Ronald Johnson of Salt Lake City and Jerry Burback of Douglas; two sisters, Susan Eckhardt of Glenrock and Gay May of Rudyard, Montana.

Pallbearers were David Perotti, Keith Ivester, Phillip Collins, Dave Collins, Fred Hildebrand, and Rick Ammons.

Jim Clark was born Dec. 21, 1947 in Puerto Rico, the son of Robert S. and Lois M. Jourgenson Clark.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. William Daiziel and his wife, Randi, both of Douglas; and a brother Robert S. Clark, Jr., San Diego.

Pallbearers were Craig Schlichting, J.D. Russell, Denny Sonnenfeldt, Bill Pitt, Glen Wilcox and Frank Lore.
