William M. Amsden, 92, died Monday at Converse county hospital after a lengthy illness, He had been a resident of Converse county for more than 30 years. Mr. Amsden, who was born in Ohio, came to this community in 1919 from Mario, Ind., where he had been engaged in the practice of law for many years. He belonged to the Masonic lodge and was a member of the Shrine.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. Louis Gale officiating. The Masonic lodge was in charge of the graveside services at Douglas Park cemetery. Survivors include one son, H. A. Amsden of Chicago, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. C. E. Miller of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. John Sleath of San Luis Obispo, Calif,; one granddaughter, Mrs. H. J. Carroll of Douglas, and a host of friends.
