Douglas Budget - June 20, 1985Funeral services for Scott Carver, age 79, was held Tuesday, June 18, 1985 at 2:00 p.m. at the Congregational United Church of Christ with Reverend Robert Nunn officiating.
Interment was in the Douglas Park Cemetery.
Mr. Carver died Sunday, June 16, 1985 at the Memorial Hospital of Natrona County in Casper following a brief illness.
Scott the son of Willis Henry and Minerva Wheeler Carver was born January 11, 1906 in Pulaski County, Missouri. He was reared and educated in Pulaski County. He came to Converse County, Wyoming in 1930 to teach school, and retired as principal of the Douglas Junior High School and North Elementary School in 1971.
He was a graduate of the high school at Waynesville, Missouri and the University of Wyoming. He was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ and served on its Board of Trustees, and also served on the Douglas City Council. He was married August 14, 1932 to Lois Krause at Crocker, Missouri, to this union were born three sons.
Scott is survived by his wife, of Douglas, Wy.; three sons, Gary Carver and Kim Carver both of Cheyenne, Wy., and Dennis Carver of Kalispell, Montana; one sister, Frances Meiser of Crocker, Missouri; three brothers, Emmett Carver of Sun City, Arizona; Stewart Carver of Crocker, Missouri, and Bill Carver of Green Valley, Arizona; and four grandchildren, Steve and Cindy Carver both of Cheyenne, Wy. and Mindy and Chad Carver both of Kalispell, Montana.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.
Serving as pallbearers were Larry Gubbels, Benn Hixson, Birney Holberg, Allen Pierce, Paul Rasmussen, and Jon Walkinshaw.
A memorial to the choice of the donor would be equally appreciated by the family.
The Converse Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
