Douglas Budget - July 24, 1975Word has been received of the death of an early day Douglas settler, William D. Cooper at Riverton on July 13, at the age of 92.
Mr. Cooper came to Douglas in 1918 and resided in the Walker Creek area until 1936 when he moved to Dubois, Wyo. Besides being a farmer, Mr. Cooper also worked as a carpenter. He was a member of the Oddfellows and Modern Woodman Lodges.
Surviving Mr. Cooper are his widow Allie who is in a nursing home in Riverton, and his children; Arthur of Lisbon, New York, Clifford of Omel, Nebr., Vinson of Casper, Kenneth of Morrell, Nebr. and Gladys Puckett of Riverton. He had 16 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
