Douglas Budget - January 26, 1978Services for Edwin Paul Cundall, 81, were held on Tuesday, January 17 at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Wheatland. The Rev. Sid Hoadley officiated. Interment was at the Wheatland Cemetery.
Mr. Cundall died at his home in Wheatland Saturday, January 14, as the result of an extended illness. He was born April 27, 1896 in Stratton, Nebraska, and married Ruth Troupe in Nebraska. He homesteaded in the Glendo area in 1917, later moving to Dwyer where he ranched for some years. For the past twenty years he has had a ranching operation in the Wendover area.
Mr. Cundall was a member of the Platte County Fair Board for many years, as well as the Laramie Peak and Wyoming Stockgrowers Association. He was a member of the Guernsey Lions Club, and a member of the All Saint's Episcopal Church in Wheatland.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Cundall of Wheatland; one son, Don Cundall of Wheatland; one daughter, Mrs. Pauline (Maurice) Ruckie of Marlow, Oklahoma; one sister, Elizabeth Bonser of Oregon; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Walter and Ray Cundall, and one sister, Margaret Marsh.
The Paul Cundall Memorial has been established, the proceeds of which will be used for improvements at the Platte County Fairgrounds. Schrader-Prell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
