Douglas Budget - October 15, 1997No services will be held for Betty B. Clinton, 76, of Gillette, who died Oct. 13, 1997, at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes.
Betty Belle Ciohon was born Sept. 12, 1921, in Casper to James and Clara (McCracken)Paden. She was raised and educated in Midwest and graduated from Midwest High School.
She later attended nurse training in Sheridan and became a registered nurse. She entered the Army in 1942 and was honorably discharged as a lieutenant in the 5th Army in 1946.
She married Robert J. Ciohon July 15, 1945, in Leghorn, Italy. They moved to Oconomowoe, Wis., in 1949 where they remained until moving to Gillette in 1987. She worked as an RN for 35 years, retiring in 1983. She was a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary in Oconomowoc.
She is survived by her son Michael Ciohon of Oconomowoc; daughters Peggy Ciohon of Gillette and Nancy Jo Stern of Reno, Nev.; three grandchildren; brother Ronald Paden of Buffalo; and sister Jean Camblin of Gillette.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 14, 1996, and her parents.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to benefit the Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Gillette. Donations may be sent in care of Wilson-Noecker Funeral Home, P.O. Box 734, Gillette 82717.
