Douglas Budget - June 24, 1976Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn Copenhaver, 49, were held Monday at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Basin with Rev. David Anderson officiating. The body was cremated. Atwood Family Funeral Directors were in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Copenhaver died on Friday enroute to Casper by plane, where she was being transferred from Washakie Memorial Hospital in Worland. She had undergone surgeries during sixteen day of hospitalization there.
On Sept. 5, 1949, she married John Copenhaver at Rock Springs.
They moved to Greybull in 1950 where he taught in Greybull Schools and later worked for Dresser Industries Inc. In 1958 he was transferred to Iran. They returned to Greybull in 1972 to make their home.
Mrs. Copenhaver was a member of Chapter F, PEO; American Legion Auxiliary and parish secretary of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.
She is survived by her husband of Greybull; two sons, Forrest J. of Farmington, and Jack A. of Copper Mountain, Colo.; one daughter, Mrs. Monty (Diedra) Wardell of Greybull; her mother, Mrs. Mary Lee of Rock Springs; one brother, John Lee of Rock Springs; two sisters, Mrs. James (Jeanne) Gillum of Casper and Mrs. Howard (Barbara) Knudson of Boise, Idaho, and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.
Pallbearers were Bill Breining of Basin; Pat Tomlinson; Ben Minter; Frank Hinckley, Bruce Kennedy and Jack Core, all of Greybull.
