Douglas Budget - October 1, 1981Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 26, 1981 at 10 a.m. at Glendo's Horseshoe Cemetery, for Julia Ann Robbins Campbell. William Tylee officiated.
Julia passed away September 22 at the Bethesda Care Center in Laramie, at the age of 75 years. She was born in Pattonsburg, Mo., Sept. 23, 1905, the daughter of Silas and Orintha Bell Boyd. She was raised in Missouri and married Walter Robbins there on March 10, 1928. Soon afterwards the couple came to Glendo, where Walter was associated with the railroad. An infant daughter, Jaquline, died in 1930. Walter passed away in 1970.
Julia was for many years a cook at the Tipple Inn in Glendo. She and Robert Campbell were married in Douglas July 18, 1977, and the couple spent their retirement in Glendo. Robert passed away in May, 1981.
She is survived by three daughters, Glenna Smith of Laramie, CloAnna Pawling of Laramie, and Iva Kahler of Glendo; one son, Eugene Robbins of Saudi Arabia; also eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one sister, Anna Carson of California.
A memorial has been established, to the Glendo Volunteer Ambulance, Schrader-Prell Funeral Home in Wheatland was in charge of arrangements.
