Douglas Budget - October 30, 1986Graveside services for Edward G. Clark, 82, were held Monday, Oct. 27 at the Glenrock Cemetery. Interment was in the Glenrock Cemetery.
Mr. Clark died unexpectedly Friday, Oct. 24 at the Converse County Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Clark was born May 27, 1904 at Howells, Neb. to Merritt and Ellen (Abbott) Clark. At the age of four he moved with his family to Glenrock.
He was reared and educated in Glenrock. He worked at various jobs in the area and attended auto mechanic school in St. Louis, Mo.
He was married June 19, 1931 to Juanita Berry in Harrison, Neb. In 1942 he obtained ownership of his father's business, Clark's Supply, which was a bulk dealership and service station. He remained a resident of Glenrock until the time of his death.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, 55-year member of the I00F, Christ Episcopal Church and the Lions Club all in Glenrock.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita, of Glenrock; two sons, Karl of Tolleson, Ariz. and Roy of Laramie; two sisters, Myra Lewis of Buena Park, Calif. and Grace Blomquist of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jay, in 1977; and five brothers.
Serving as pallbearers were Allen Brubaker, Joe Danaher, Gordon Taylor, Sr., William Lythgoe, Hershel H. Wickett and Hershel Vincent Wickett.
A memorial to the Glenrock Senior Citizens would be appreciated by the family.
The Converse Funeral Chapel of Douglas was in charge of the arrangements.
