Douglas Budget - March 18, 1976Funeral services for Lional (Buster) Curtis, 82 of Douglas, were Wednesday afternoon at Stark-Lapham Funeral Home in Douglas. Rev. Clyde Thompson of the 1st Baptist Church officiated.
Buster died in a fire at his home on the Curtis ranch 20 miles south-west of Douglas in what is known as the upper LaPrele Community.
Born in Douglas on October 24, 1894 the son of Frank and Anna Curtis. He attended school in rural school and Douglas.
He lived on the old homestead with his sister and two brothers while growing up and helped ranch.
One brother, Frank H. and his sister, Ruth preceded him in death.
He is survived by his brother Robert A. of Douglas.
Also surviving is one nephew, Robert D. and two nieces Constance M. Rodeman and Francis F. Demmer from Pomeroy, Washington.
Also 4 grand nephews and 5 grand nieces.
Clint, Jeanine, Rena, Jeri and Colt Rodeman and Curtis and Mark Demmer, 2 cousins, Andrew Nielson from Lance Creek and Thomas Nielson from Loveland, Colorado, and a cousin Elizabeth Diering from Wheatland.
Interment followed in the Douglas Park Cemetery.
