Services Held at Glenrock for
Douglas Budget - March 5, 1953Funeral services were held in Glenrock Saturday afternoon at the Community church for Ted Crapsey, 77, who died Wednesday morning following an illness of several months. The services were conducted by Rev. E.M. Wilson with graveside services under the direction of Glenrock Lodge No. 24, I.O.O.F.
Theodore A. Crapsey was born at Piquay, Ohio, Aug. 14, 1875, and died at the Casper hospital Feb. 25, at 4:00 a.m., at the age of 77 years, five months and 11 days.
Mr. Crapsey moved to Nebraska in 1888, coming to Glenrock in 1919. He was married to Mrs. Dora Jones at Sydney, Ohio, in 1919, and to this union two daughters were born.
Mr. Crapsey was employed by the Continental Oil Co. for several years, and for the past 20 years has served as mail carrier.
In addition to Mrs. Crapsey, survivors include his two daughters, Mrs. Allen Merritt and Mrs. Ernest Rupe; one son, Theodore A. Crapsey; one sister, Mrs. Alice Cove of Piquay, Ohio; a step-daughter, Mrs. Juanita Moore of Long Beach, Calif.; a step-son, Sanford Jones of San Bernadino, Calif., and 12 grandchildren.
The deceased was a member of Glenrock Lodge No. 24, I.O.O.F. and the Baptist Community church.
