Douglas Budget - December 18, 1980Graveside services were held on Dec. 2 in Douglas Park Cemetery for Betty Jean Corbitt, 53, of Cheyenne. Father Colibraro officiated.
Mrs. Corbitt died on Nov. 29 at Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born on Feb. 6, 1927 at Mason City, Nebraska and attended grade school there and later at Bill, Wyoming. She graduated from Douglas High School and attended the University of Wyoming. She taught several years in rural schools in this area and later worked as a waitress.
She was married to Norris Taylor and two daughters were born to this union; Mrs. Morris (JoD'Lyn)Nesmith, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Robert (Judy) Dortch, also of Salt Lake.
She was a member of the Rebekahs and the Farm Bureau.
Survivors include her two daughters; three brothers, W.A. (Web) Stoddard, R.H. (Pat) Stoddard, Jr., both of Douglas and Ivan Stoddard of Casper; two sisters, Mrs. Reubene (Marion) Boe of Bakersfield, California and Mrs. Fred D. (Evelyn) Grant of Glenrock.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Paul in World War II and her husband.
The family would appreciated memorials to the cancer fund or the lung fund.
