Douglas Budget - November 1, 1984Frederick Clough, a resident of Good Samaritan Retirement Center, Boulder, Colo., died there Oct. 26. He was 72.
Mr. Clough was born in Douglas, Wyo., Jan. 5, 1912, the son of Bert Clough and Mayme Jarchow Clough.
He attended schools in Douglas and the University of Colorado.
Mr. Clough owned and operated the Douglas Enterprise, a newspaper his family owned for many generations. In 1953, he sold the newspaper and moved to Boulder where he worked for the Daily Camera and Johnson Publishing Co., until his retirement in 1973.
He married Celeste Bleecker in Boulder in 1934. She died in 1973.
In 1975, he married Margaret McPhee in Boulder.
Mr. Clough is survived by his wife of Boulder; a son, Al Clough, also of Boulder; a daughter, Elaine Alexander of London, England; a brother, Albert Clough of Douglas; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 5, at the Douglas Park Cemetery, with Rev. Robert Nuhn officiating.
