Services for Homer Cross, 80, of Douglas were held at the Stark Lapham Funeral Home on April 23 with the Rev. Harry Randall officiating. Interment was in Douglas Park Cemetery.

Cross died on April 21 at the Converse County Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born April 15, 1900 at Chadron, Nebraska, the son of William and Mattie Cross. He moved with his family to Douglas in 1915 and worked on ranches in the area for many years. He was last employed at the Cockrel ranch near Moran, retiring from that job in 1971. He and his wife moved to Riverton at that time. He was a member of the Riverton Elks Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma of Riverton; one son, Paul Thomas of Riverton; brother, Bill Cross of Sparks, Nevada and a sister, Mrs. Joe (Isabelle) Lawson of Phoenix, Arizona.
