DEATH OF MRS. CHARLES A. CULLEN
Was Former Teacher in the Douglas Schools
Douglas Budget - May 1, 1930Many Douglas friends are grieved by the death, which occurred Sunday afternoon, of Mrs. Charles A. Cullen (Leona Baker) of Casper. Death was caused by heart disease.
Mrs. Cullen was well known in Douglas and loved and respected by those who knew her. She lived here when a girl when her father, the late Nat Baker, pioneer of Lusk, was register of the land office. She attended school here and was a graduate of the Douglas High School. Following her graduation she attended the University of Wyoming and the University of Colorado at Boulder and later was a teacher in the South grade school.
She was married to Charles A. Cullen, Casper business man, at Sidney, Neb., June 5, 1929, since which time her home has been in Casper.
She is survived by her husband and infant daughter, Cordell Anne; her mother, Mrs. Rebecca Baker, of Sidney, Neb., and two brothers, Jack Baker of Sidney and Charles E. Baker of Yakima, Wash.
Funeral services were held at St. Anthony Catholic church in Casper Wednesday morning and were largely attended. Among those who went from Douglas were Mrs. S.E. Morton and E. Ewel.
