Douglas Budget - June 6, 2007Funeral services for Ronald "Ron" Alexander were held on June 1 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Rumsey of the Antelope Valley Baptist Church officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
Ron Wayne Alexander, 72, of Gillette passed away on May 28, 2007, at his home.
Mr. Alexander was born on Dec. 12, 1934, the son of Connie S. and Lois (Cordell) Alexander in Pampa, Texas. He graduated from Archer City High School in Archer City, Texas.
Mr. Alexander retired from Phillip's Petroleum after 23 years as a field superintendent in Gillette. he was a partner with his son, Clay, at Lakeway Power Sports in Gillette. He enjoyed his children, grandchildren and especially enjoyed participating in motorcross racing with them and other children and young people in the community. Mr. Alexander was a member of the Antelope Valley Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann of Gillette; three sons Clay Alexander and Lee Alexander both of Gillette and Greg Alexander of Wichita Falls, Texas; brother Deaun (Sue) Alexander of Wichita Falls; four grandchildren: Aaron, Misty and Kendra all of Gillette, and Dustin of Palm Coast, Fla; great grandchildren; Peyton, Hayden and Alexis.
