Douglas Budget - July 4, 2007A celebration of the life of Paul Eugene Alexander, 83, was held July 2 at Vimbo's Dusty Boots in Wheatland with family and friends.
Inurnment will be held privately at a later date.
He died June 25, 2007, at the Platte County Memorial Nursing Home in Wheatland.
Mr. Alexander was born March 12, 1924, in Niangua, Mo., to Luke Avery and Ruby Opal (Allen) Alexander. The family moved to Douglas, where Mr. Alexander was reared and educated.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Upon his discharge, he returned to Wyoming and worked for True Oil Rigs until his retirement. In 1981, he married June Vaughn in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mr. Alexander loved the outdoors and his grandkids.
Survivors include two daughters, Amber Clyde of Wheatland and Lauri Miller of Riverton; a sister, Diane Loader of Wellington, Co.; a brother, John Alexander of Douglas; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife June on June 13, 1999; and brother Bill Alexander.
Gorman Funeral Homes-Platte Chapel of Wheatland is in charge of the arrangements.
