M.B. Camplin, first city attorney of Douglas and at one time mayor of Sheridan, died at his home in Sheridan on January 4. He was 66 years old and death resulted from apoplexy. He had been prominent in local and state politics for a number of years and in 1918 was a candidate for gubernatorial honors on the Republican ticket. He came to Douglas in 1886, the year the city was founded, and spent several years here, going later to Newcastle and to Sheridan in 1903. He was one of the foremost lawyers in northern Wyoming and had always taken a leading part in civic affairs. He leaves a wife and five sons.
