Douglas Budget - July 24, 1996Funeral services for Carol Delight Cooper, 86, were July 19 at Christ Episcopal Church in Douglas with the Rev. Marion Canterbury officiating.
Interment was at Douglas Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Cooper died July 17, 1996, at Michael Manor in Douglas.
She was born Feb. 10, 1910, in Laramie to Alanzo and Pearl (Fyle) Cady. She was reared and educated in Laramie.
After graduating from Laramie High School, she married Clifford Taylor. One son was born to this union.
She owned and operated her own beauty salon for 10 years.
On Sept. 29, 1938, she married LeRoy Cooper in Fort Collins, Colo.
She was a bookkeeper for her son's medical practice in Casper for 10 years. She was an avid trout fisherman and a 54-year member of the Easter Star Woodbine Chapter 18.
The Coopers have lived in the Douglas and Esterbrook area for the past 25 years.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, LeRoy Cooper; son Dr. William Joseph Taylor of North Carolina; sister Alva Fingerlos of Tucson, Ariz.; brother Edward Cady of Covina, Calif.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Margurite.
Serving as pallbearers were Paul Taylor, Bob Adams, Kao Dolph, Dave Beyer and Dennis Newell.
Converse Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
