Douglas Budget - October 28, 2009Graveside services for Kenneth L. Clear, 86, will be held at 10 a.m. Oct. 30 at Horseshoe Cemetery near Glendo, and military honors will be accorded by the John Prince American Legion Post #15.
Ken Clear, a resident of Glendo, died Oct. 24, 2009, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.
He was born in Hastings, Neb., on July 14, 1923, the son of Peter and Katherine (Bower) Clear, immigrants from Russia.
He was reared and educated in Hastings and graduated from Hastings High School. He worked as a mason, laying bricks at many construction sites throughout the United States.
He married Ethel L. (Rasp) Wedeking on Sept. 16, 1967, in Granite City, Ill. They resided in Belleville, Ill., for several years prior to moving to Denver in 1972.
They moved to Wyoming in May 1977 and resided in Glendo and Cheyenne.
He served in the United States Army during World War II.
He is survived by his nephew, Gary Clear, of Waddell, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Ethel on April 17, 1988; one brother; and one sister.
A memorial to the choice of the donor would be appreciated by the family.
