Douglas Budget - April 20, 1988Funeral services for Ethel L. Clear, 55, will be held Thursday, April 21, at 10 a.m. at the Converse Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Thomas E. Hartshorn of the Congregational United Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in the Horseshoe Cemetery in Glendo.
Mrs. Clear died Sunday, April 17, at the Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland, from an apparent heart attack.
She was born May 7, 1932 at Shilo, Il., to Calvin and Stella (Paproth) Rasp. She was reared and educated in O'Fallon, Ill., graduating from the O'Fallon High School. She lived in Belleville, Ill., for several years prior to moving to Denver in 1972.
She was married to Kenneth L. Clear on September 16, 1967 at Granite City, Ill. She then moved to Wyoming in May, 1977, living in Glendo or Cheyenne. She was an avid fisherman and loved to knit and crochet.
She is survived by her husband of Glendo; three sons, Douglas Wedeking of Belleville, Steven Wedeking of Denver, and John Wedeking of Virginia; two daughters, Patricia Wedeking and Linda England both of Denver; one sister, Margaret Kline of Shilo; four grandchildren, Bianca Brown of Denver,, Jennifer Wedeking of Denver, Douglas Wedeking Jr. and Scott Wedeking both of Belleville; and one great granddaughter, Laura Wedeking of Belleville.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
