Douglas Budget - April 6, 1994Mildred E. Chierici, 63, of Riverton, died March 28, 1994, at University Medical Center in Denver.
She was born April 10, 1930 in Douglas to Bryan and Julia (Eppenbach) Lore.
She was married to Gil Chierici on July 4, 1959, in Portsmouth, Va. They moved to Riverton in 1971 from Littleton, Colo. She graduated from the St. Frances Nursing School in Nebraska in 1953. She was the director of Nursing Services at Fremont Manor for 14 years, working at Fremont Manor for 17 years total. She worked for seven years for Morning Star Manor at Ft. Washakie, Wyo. She was a nurse for 44 years until she retired in 1991. She was a peace time veteran of the navy from 1955-1958, stationed in Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Virginia and also Abans Naval Hospital in New York.
She was a member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church. She loved nursing, gardening, flowers and doing artists sketching.
She is survived by her husband, Gil, of Riverton; son, Joseph Chierici of Riverton; daughter Julie Etter of Lander; mother, Julia Lore of Douglas; brothers, Wayne Lore of Casper, Valjean Lore of California, Floyd Lore and Frank Lore both of Douglas; sisters Dorthy Piles and Laurel Robidoux both of Douglas; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and brother, Leonard Lore.
Memorial services were held on April 4, at the St. Margaret's Catholic Church with Father Joseph Roy. Cremation has taken place in Denver.
Memorials may be made to the Morning Star Manor in care of Davis Funeral Home who was also in charge of the arrangements.
