Douglas Budget - December 9, 1998Funeral services for Marion Lena Crawford, 70, were Dec. 2 at Converse Funeral Chapel in Douglas, with Pastor Frank Wiederrecht of First Baptist Church officiating.
Private family inurnment services were held at Douglas Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Crawford, a Douglas resident, died Nov. 28 at Memorial Hospital of Converse County.
She was born March 28, 1928, in Freeport, Ill., to Alfred and Clara (Nelson) Kisling. When she was very young she moved to Ingram, Wis.
After her first marriage she lived in Cameron, Wis., for 16 years. To this union six children were born.
On Oct. 13, 1969, she married Merlyn M. Crawford in Utah. She always enjoyed reading and sewing. She collected dolls and in recent years she enjoyed going to yard sales and auctions.
She is survived by her husband, Merlyn of Douglas; children Myron Townsend of Rice Lake, Wis., Warren "Happ" Townsend of Chetek, Wis., Marilyn Srp of Ladysmith, Wis., Wayne Townsend of Almena, Wis., Michael Townsend of Cameron, Wis., Kenneth Townsend of Rice Lake; brothers Herbert Kisling of Ladysmith, Roland Kisling of Bloomington, Minn., Dale Kisling of Palmersville, Tenn., Warren Kisling of Saratoga, Calif., Harley Kisling of Loves Park, Ill., and Leonard Kisling of Chicago, Ill.; 33 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Memorials to Douglas Senior Citizens' Center, P.O. Box 192, Douglas, would be appreciated by the family.
Converse Funeral Chapel of Douglas was in charge of the arrangements.
