Douglas Budget - November 7, 1990Graveside services for Cornita Florence Coffelt, 84, were held Nov. 1, at the Douglas Park Cemetery with Pastor-Frank Wiederrecht of the First Baptist Church officiating.
Interment was in the Douglas Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Coffelt, a Douglas resident, died Monday, Oct. 29, 1990 at the Converse County Memorial Hospital.
She was born June 4, 1906, in Eureka, Kan., the daughter of James H. and Susan (Myers) Smith. She was reared and educated in Eureka, Kansas.
In 1926 she and William Harold O'Neal were married. Later in 1939 she married James C. Coffelt.
She moved to the area in 1946 from El Dorado, Kan., and remained in the area until the time of her death.
She had attended the First Baptist Church in Casper and was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge, Home Chapter.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Barbara O'Neal of Douglas; four sisters, Leota Mae Glover of Portland, Ore., Lena Towns of Eureka, Kan., Eula Moyer of Pawhuska, Okla., and Margaret Brown of El Dorado; four grandchildren, Patrick O'Neal of Albuquerque, N.M., Teresa Flamboe of Aberdeen, S.D., Peggy Denzin of Casper, and Diane Burd of Denver.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; one son, Paul Ira O'Neal on Aug. 27, 1985; one grandson, Michael O'Neal, four brothers and two sisters.
The Converse Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
