Douglas Budget - September 18, 2002Funeral services for Lois June "Junie" Claus, 68, will be held at 1 p.m. Sept. 19 at Howe's Mortuary in Longmont, Colo.
Mrs. Claus died Sept. 15 at her home in Douglas.
She was born July 30, 1934, in Ft. Collins, Colo., to Roscoe and Clara M. (Holtcamp) Graham of Wellington, Colo. She graduated from Mead High School in June 1951 in Mead, Colo.
On Dec. 27, 1951, she married Clayton C. Claus at the Methodist church in Mead. They farmed and ranched in the Mead area until 1996, when they moved to Douglas.
Mrs. Claus was a housewife and mother. She loved animals, gardening and working with the cattle on the farm. She enjoyed horseback riding, reading, camping, fishing, and golf. She was a member of Douglas Community Club.
She is survived by her mother Clara of Longmont; husband Clayton of Douglas; sons William H. Claus of Sorrrento, Fla., and David C. and wife Francie Claus of Douglas; daughters Cheryl L. Buderus of Johnstown, Colo., and Sandra M. and husband Bill Hopson of Craig, Colo.; grandchildren Clay and Sarah of Douglas, Erik and Lyndsey of Johnstown and Nicholas and Rosemary of Craig; four step-grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Roscoe and her brother Robert R. Graham.
