Douglas Budget - December 18, 2002Graveside services and interment for Drusilla B. Clarke, 89, will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 19 at Douglas Park Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Robert D. Firebaugh of First United Methodist Church officiating.
Mrs. Clarke, formerly of Douglas, died Dec. 12, 2002, at the Johnson County Health Care Center in Buffalo.
She was born Aug. 21, 1913, in Rosholt, Portage County, Wis., to Arthur Frank and Stashia (Corbett) Spiegel. She came to Glenrock in 1918. She was reared and educated in Glenrock and graduated from Glenrock High School. She then worked at a law office in Glenrock.
On Sept. 28, 1936, she married John Henry Clarke in Casper at the Methodist church.
The lived in Casper until 1963, when they moved to Buffalo and then to Douglas in 1978, where they resided until the time of John's death in April 2002. Mrs. Clarke then moved to Buffalo to be near her daughter.
Mrs. Clarke was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Douglas, organized the John and Amie Auxiliary in Buffalo in 1963 and was active in the Congregational Church in Buffalo. She took great pride in her home, cooking and taking care of her family.
She is survived by son Don and wife Janet Clarke of Houston, Texas; daughter Nadine and husband Ken Gross of Buffalo; four grandchildren, Rhonda Money of Buffalo, Penney Brutlag of Sheridan, Steven Gray of Buffalo and Heather Earl of Laramie; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband John.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kerry Money, Aaron Money, Ryan Money, Tim Earl, Steven Gray and Ken Gross.
Memorials to Amie Holt Nursing Home, 497 West Lott, Buffalo, 82834, would be appreciated by the family.
Converse Funeral Chapel of Douglas is in charge of the arrangements.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 18 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 19.
