Douglas Budget - July 23, 2003Funeral services for Alice Irene (Lorah) Christianson, 87, were held July 18 at Adams Funeral Home in Buffalo, with Pastor Mike Carlton officiating.
Mrs. Christianson died July 14 at Michael Manor in Douglas.
She was born Jan. 30, 1916, on the family homestead near Arvada, to Margaret and Alva Lorah. She grew up on the family ranch.
In 1948 she married Donald "Chris" Christianson at Greeley, Colo. They made their home in various communities throughout Wyoming, settling in Casper for 35 years and retiring in Douglas in 1997. Mr. Christianson passed away in January 1998 and Mrs. Christianson continued living in Douglas until the time of her death.
Mrs. Christianson enjoyed her grandchildren, crocheting, country music and watching country dancing on T.V.
She is survived by sons Alva Hoblit of Sheridan and Dale Christianson and wife Jan of Casper; daughter Cindy Grinstead and husband Mike of Douglas; grandchildren Darcy Grinstead, Joshua Christianson and Chris Christianson and wife Samantha; and great-grandsons Tyson and Brennor Grinstead.
She was preceded in death by her parents Margaret and Alva Lorah; husband "Chris"; son Robert Hoblit, a grandson; and nine brothers and sisters.
