Douglas Budget - September 22, 2004Services for Eunice Mary Cornish, 102, of Cheyenne will be held at 10 a.m. Sept. 24 at Cheyenne Berean Church with Pastor Charles Reed officiating.
Interment will be at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Cornish died Sept. 18, 2004, at Life Care Center.
She was born Jan. 30, 1902 in Guthrie Center, Iowa. She had lived in Cheyenne since 1935.
She was a switchboard operator for Union Pacific Railroad for 52 years, retiring in 1972. During her younger years in Iowa, she worked as a candy maker and in a hospital.
She was a member of Cheyenne Berean Church, Order of Eastern Star Mizpah Chapter, and UP Oldtimers. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, sewing, candy making and baking for her family and church.
Mrs. Cornish is survived by her brother Ralph McKee and his family of Cheyenne; grandchildren Dennis Fogg of Cheyenne, Diane Humphrey of Cheyenne, Calvin Fogg of Carpenter, Janet Shatto of Douglas and their families; 12 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Alice McKee; daughter Mary Grace Fogg; brothers Clyde McKee and Bill McKee; and sisters Viola Williams, Neva Tomlinson and Georgia Olmstead.
Pallbearers will be Robert McKee, David McKee, Bill Olmstead, Troy Fogg, Chad Fogg and Tyson Shatto.
Family and friends may call at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes Sept. 22-23 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
