Glen Carr dies in fall
Douglas Budget - August 14, 1969Glen Carr, Jr., a resident of Douglas for 24 years, died Sunday at an Evanston hospital from injuries suffered earlier in the day in a fall down a stairway at the VFW club at Evanston. According to a news release from Evanston, the coroner said he apparently opened a wrong door and fell down a stairway. He had arrived in Evanston the day before to visit his wife, Isabelle, at the state hospital.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 13, at Christ Episcopal Church in Douglas with the Rev. J.B. Batten officiating. Burial was in Douglas Park Cemetery.
Glen LeRoy Carr, Jr. was born July 6, 1915 at Worland, the son of Glen L. and Sylvia Musser Carr.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sisters, Sylvia Freeman of Byron, Wyoming and Jeannette Zimmerman of Rapid City, S.Dak., and his father, Glen Carr, Sr. of Morton, Wyoming.
Pallbearers were Tom Curtin, Gene McComb, Max Squires, Fred Marburger, Burl Jones, and Butch Johnson.
