Douglas Budget - July 25, 2001Funeral services for Donna Linn (Mehl) Corbin, 47, of Glenrock, were held July 21 at Converse Funeral Chapel in Douglas.
Rev. Martin Strom of Congregational Church of Christ officiated.
Mrs. Corbin died July 17 at her home following a diabetic reaction. She had suffered from diabetes since childhood.
She was born Feb. 3, 1954, in St. Joseph, Mo., to Bonnie (Yokum) and Eugene Mehl. She was reared and educated in Plentywood, Mont., and graduated from Plentywood High School in 1972. She then went to work on drilling rigs in South Dakota and Wyoming.
She married John A. Corbin on April 6, 1985, in Douglas. They made their home in Glenrock for the past three years.
Mrs. Corbin was a hard worker on the job and in her home. She enjoyed her home, gardening, fishing, outdoors, their dog, Jazz, and their cat, Colbie. She will be remembered for her warm heart and never missing a birthday, Mother's Day or Father's Day with a card and a call.
She is survived by her husband, John of Glenrock; mother Bonnie Sundsted of Antelope, Mont.; father Eugene Mehl of Plentywood; sisters, Sandra Torgerson of Winton, Calif., Charlotte Sorenson of Dagmar, Mont., and Doreen Bucholz of Wasilla, Alaska; seven nieces; nine nephews; one great-nephew; and a great-niece.
Memorials to the American Diabetes Foundation, 4910 S. Ash St., Casper 82601, would be appreciated by the family.
Converse Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
