Douglas Budget - December 24, 2003A memorial service for John A. Corbin, 47, of Glenrock, was held Dec. 20 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette with Pastor Charles Small of Grace Bible Church officiating.
Mr. Corbin died Dec. 3, 2003, at his home, due to an accident.
He was born Feb. 7, 1956, in Worland, to Carl Corbin and Dorothy (Swing). He attended school in Worland and later earned his general education diploma. He worked in the oil field profession around the state. He also worked for six years for Converse County School District #1 as a custodian, until his retirement due to health reasons.
On April 6, 1984, he married Donna Mehl, where they lived and made their home in Douglas. In 1997 they moved to Glenrock. They had no children, but had much love and affection for their special pets, Jazz and Colky.
Mr. Corbin enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping and mechanics. He especially loved to spend time with family, friends and his pets.
He is survived by his mother Dorothy and stepfather David Swing of Gillette; sisters Demaris Dishion of Gillettte, Carla O'Brien of Glendale, Ariz., Cheryle Rideout of Wamsutter, and Mitz Nordstrom of Cheyenne; seven nephews and nieces; and five great-nephews and great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his wife; sister Ronda Johnson; and his father.
