Carragher, James (Unknown - December 28, 1904)

Fatal Accident

Bill Barlows Budget - January 4, 1905

James Carragher, aged 50 and for many years a ranchman living in the Laramie Peak country just across the Albany county line, died last Wednesday night as the result of an injury received almost a week before while riding after cattle. His horse jumped a fence with him at the time--to which he paid no attention but which unquestionably caused the injury which resulted in his death. Three days after he was taken seriously ill and finally brought to Douglas, Tuesday, when an operation revealed the trouble--then of so serious a nature that nothing could be done for him. The funeral took place on Friday from the Methodist church, Rev. Young officiating.
