Douglas Budget - September 30, 1998Funeral services for Mabel Han-Sena Coe, 83, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30 at Congregational United Church of Christ in Douglas with Pastor Bob Peters officiating.
Interment will be at Douglas Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Coe died Sunday, Sept. 27, at United Medical Center-West in Cheyenne. She was born July 29, 1915, in Wolbach, Neb., to William and Mary (Adams) Rasmussen. She was reared and educated in Wolbach.
She married Harold Stanley Coe on May 22, 1933, in Wolbach they moved to Douglas in 1964.
In retirement years she and Harold spent 12 years wintering in Arizona and many happy hours in their motor home. She was a member of Congregational United Church of Christ and the Church Circle. She was active with the Fort Fetterman Good Sam's Club.
She enjoyed crocheting and crafts.
She had been hospitalized since July 15 due to injuries she received in an automobile pedestrian accident in Douglas.
She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Lloyd and her husband Chuck of Cheyenne; brother Carl Rasmussen of Modesto, Calif.; grandson Dennis Layman of Cheyenne, great-grandchildren Robert and Karla Layman of Cheyenne; and great great-grandson Christopher Layman of Cheyenne.
Mrs. Coe was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold on April 4, 1995; four brothers and three sisters. Serving as pallbearers will be Ron Haar, Robert Layman, John Miller, Brian Plumb, Bob Burden and Johnny Miller.
Memorials to the Douglas Senior Citizens Center, P.O. Box 192, would be appreciated by the family.
Converse Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Family and friends may visit the funeral home from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday.
