Douglas Budget - January 10, 1996Memorial services for Warren H. Clark, 75, were held Dec. 31 at the Bustard Funeral Home with Rev. Soozie Ford of the First Baptist Church officiating.
Mr. Clark died Friday, Dec. 29, 1995, at his home in Casper following a long illness.
He was born Dec. 16, 1920, in Blunt, S.D., to Vernon and Anna Marie (Hillmer) Clark. He graduated from McCook High School in McCook, Neb. After graduating he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in the South Pacific in the 161st Infantry, 3rd Battalion, 25th Division (Tropic Lighting).
Mr. Clark had served for three years, nine months and 11 days and was in the Phillipines when he was wounded. For this he received the Purple Heart. He returned to McCook June 15, 1945.
In 1946 he married Betty Sue Covert in McCook. In 1950 they moved to Casper where he was employed as a clerk for the Bureau of Reclamation from 1950-72. Mrs. Clark passed away in September 1987.
He was married to Beverly Hicks in 1990 in Brookings, Ore. They moved to Douglas in 1991 and then to Casper in 1995. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his wife of Casper, daughters Sue Ann Franklin of Casper and Laurie Lee Ricks of Loveland, Colo.; four grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciated contributions to the American Heart Association.
Cremation has been held under the direction of Bustard Funeral Home.
