Cannon, E.W. (Unknown - July 12, 1916)

East End Citizen Passed Away

Wednesday Morning

Douglas Enterprise - July 18, 1916

E.W. Cannon of Lost Springs died at his home near that city last Wednesday morning from a stroke of apoplexy. Mr. Cannon was a prominent rancher in the east end, having homesteaded and built up one of the best farms in that section. On the Sunday afternoon previous to his death he suffered from a stroke but rallied. Physicians held out hope for his recovery until Tuesday evening when he suddenly took a turn for the worse, the end coming early the following morning.

The deceased leaves to mourn his loss a wife, two sons, Ollie and William Cannon, and a daughter, Miss Bessie Cannon, who lives in Seattle, Wash. The remains were taken to Argus, Indiana, last Thursday accompanied by the family. The body will rest near the old home where the bodies of many relatives and friends lie.

Mr. Cannon was well known here and was highly respected, being a man of sterling character and a friend to everyone.
